Great food, excellent service, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, especially in the winter! The grilled cheese is delicious, and we love the tacos, pulled pork, and of course the burgers.
We are from out of town and were looking for a local burger place. The hotel staff where we are staying recommended Max Burger. There is seating inside and out. It was an overcast warm night so we decided to sit outside since there is a large awning that would provide protection of any potential passing showers. The staff is attentive and friendly. I got the Max Classic. I liked that it was available in a 5oz and 8oz. I ordered the 5oz. It was juicy and delicious. The toppings of tomato and lettuce were fresh and the pickles were superb (I should have asked if they were made in house) Just the right amount of Max sauce was added. Fries were also delicious and served with a ranch dressing. My husband got the Texican burger. This was an 8oz burger with all the toppings you would expect on texmex style burger. He loved it. "BEST BURGER OF MY LIFE!" , he said. We are a mature couple, so we've experienced a LOT of burgers.
First time impression. Right out of the gate... I will definitely stop again. I'm really not sure if this review will be my most accurate honestly. Service was good the atmosphere was inviting. Food was just average for me. But I also ordered average food. It was a little pricey but understanding the area and what else they had to offer it made sense. Luckily for me I was meeting an old buddy so that made it all worthwhile. Anyway, give it a shot I'm sure it won't disappoint.
Food was good - we started with an order of loaded tots. They were delicious but the serving size was very small and our table only had 3 people. For my meal, I ordered the "All American" burger and added fresh jalapeños - Cooked perfectly and delicious. I had sweet potatoes for my side and those were also cooked perfectly (not soggy!) Our waitress was a bit rude but at least the food was good lol. **I don't have any pictures of any of the food ordered so I apologize!!
Not just a great burger spot. Great selection of beer on tap and specialty drinks. Charlese is very friendly at the bar and has great suggestions on the menu.
I enjoyed the evening dinning at Max Burger. The casual seating area was comfortable and spacious. The service was very good, beverages, appetizers and meals were timed perfectly. The 5 oz. burger was the perfect size and delicious, the fries cooked a bit long for both entrees and went to waste. The reason for 4 stars versus 5 was the fries.
One outstanding item - the manager is on the floor delivering food and helping customers with miscellaneous items (booster seats, high chairs). You don't see this in restaurants nowadays. Food is phenomenal without a doubt and good setting for family after a long night out
